Advantages:

Steel has a high strength-to-weight ratio, which is very strong for its weight, and is much higher than other common construction materials, such as concrete and wood. This means that steel components can be made very lightweight without sacrificing strength.

Ductile steel structures can absorb more energy before failure than brittle structures. This makes them ideal for applications subjected to high-impact loads, such as in earthquake-prone areas or industrial settings.

Prefabrication and ease of assembly of steel structures lead to faster construction times.

Disadvantages:

Thin steel frames may not be suitable for buildings that require high load-bearing capacity or long spans, as they might not provide sufficient strength. Thus the basic designed load will be necessary to confirm before our quotation.

Steel is susceptible to corrosion, so steel structures need to be properly protected from the elements. This can add to the cost of maintenance and upkeep. So after its installation, extra fireproof painting is necessary to enlong its service lifetime.

Steel is a good conductor of heat, meaning steel structures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. This can make them less comfortable to occupy and can also increase energy costs. To make up this, insulation material is optional for roof and wall.

Steel Structure Buildings:

Pre-engineered steel buildings are buildings made of steel structures and fabricated and installed according to pre-specified architectural and technical drawings. The process of making finished products (with a combination of inspection and quality control steps) goes through 3 main stages: Design, Fabrication of components and Erection at the site. The entire steel structure can be produced synchronously and then delivered to the construction site in a relatively short time.

The architectural works that often use this type of house include factories, warehouses, galleries, supermarkets, commercial buildings, high-rise buildings, etc.

Steel structure load-bearing:

The frame load-bearing structure is a load-bearing system composed of a horizontal frame and a longitudinal connecting member, and the wall only serves as an enclosure. It is suitable for large spans, high plants, and large crane loads. The load-bearing framework is made of steel plate or hot-rolled steel through cutting and welding.

The horizontal framework of the factory building includes roof beams (or roof truss), columns, and foundations. It bears the loads from skylights, roofs, walls, and other parts, as well as its weight, various loads generated by cranes, and longitudinal wall wind loads. These loads are transmitted to the foundation through the transverse framework through the columns.

The longitudinal connecting components are connected by the roof purlins, wall beams, tie rods, supports, etc. to the horizontal frame to form a single-story industrial building space system. They are mainly to ensure the stability of the transverse framework, bear the tension load, and transmit it to the foundation through the column.

We own more than 20 engineers who have abundant experience for various types buildings. Before design, all requirements will be collected from clients. The design will obey the requirements and pass the calculation check by the architectural soft, such as CAD, PKPM, 3D3S etc.

For the initial planning, we will design the construction blueprint after confirming the client’s requirements details. With the check and feedback from the clients, we will make the revise if possible.

After the confirm, we will make further steel structure detailed drawing to prepare the production. This will still be offered to the clients to confirm. Double check will guarantee the building with correct details.

If necessary, finial 3D model will be offered if needed.

Prepare raw materials : cut steel plate or use H section steel and angle steel, round tube,round steel,square tube etc. with right sizes;

Assembly and welding: our welders will follow the drawings to assemble the steel members and weld them together as a entire beam/column/brace and so on.

Our welders are skilled in butt weld,fillet weld,intermittent welding etc. The welding lines are straight,orderly and nice.

Our quality inspector will check the steel pieces after finish welding,this is the first quality check.

Sand blasting : After finish welding and polishing,our sand blast effect can reach 2.5 high grade,very good for resist rust. 2.5 high grade could meet most countries' standard requirements.

(Secondary quality check)

Paint : Within 2 hours after sand blast,all the steel members should be paint. Client can choose any color and any brand of paint.

We use high pressure airless spraying machine for painting. Both the color and the thickness of paint are well-proportioned.(The third quality check)

Inspect the goods by client : After we finish a part of fabrication work,we will invite clients to check the goods before we pack the steel frame.

KXD’s Packing & Loading Service:

Normally for steel structure, we will pack them by the steel pallet. Packed processing outside of the loading container is easier to operate, easier to adjust and more efficient to use the container limited space. At the same time, steel pallet will also protect steel components to reduce the conflicts and surface coating abrasion.

The steel pallet will be loaded by closed containers, like 20'GP, 40'HC.

If clients wants to save the steel pallet cost, the steel components is better to be loaded into open top container one by one, like 40’OT.

Closed container:

Advantage:cheapper shipping cost,all members be packed together and reduce friction, the surface coating of steel members will be much better protected; easy unload

Disadvantage:steel pallet cost

Open top container:

Advantage:easy to load &unload; save steel pallet cost

Disadvantage:higher shipping cost, aleak and few quantity to load
